The Aloha Chapter of LAI will host LAI members from across the nation, Canada, Europe and Asia for the 2026 annual gathering in Honolulu, Hawai‘i. We will share our stories including cultural approaches to land use, the transformational impact of a new rail system and transit-oriented development, options for climate resiliency, and much more.
The Gathering theme is “Navigating Change: Weaving Wisdom and Vision.”

Thursday, October 8
Evening: President’s Reception – Waikīkī Aquarium
Friday, October 9
Morning: Cultural Tours and Panel on the Past, Present, and Future of Land Use in Hawai‘i at Kamehameha Schools Heritage Center
Afternoon: Lunch (location TBD), Waikīkī Walking Tour – climate change and resiliency
Evening: Dine Arounds – small group dinners sponsored by members
Saturday, October 10
Morning: Tour of Skyline, talks by city officials, TOD projects
Afternoon: Kaka‘ako lunch and walking tours to TOD projects
Evening: Closing Dinner and Awards Ceremony – Ho‘okupu Center
