Chapter Hosts two Land Economic Weekends (LEW)

In 2003 under the leadership of then Chapter President Mark Hastert, Honolulu was the host location for one of the International Land Economic Weekends (LEW). Attendees were given guided tours of Kakaako, Kapolei, and were treated to a memorable sunset luau at Lanikuhonua.

In 2012 under the leadership of Chapter President Cheryl Soon, Honolulu again hosted the Fall LEW weekend. Memorable tours were given of Punchbowl, UH Sustainability Center, Kroc Center, Ford Island, Kakaako and Waikiki. Social events included the President’s reception aboard the USS Missouri, and the final reception at Washington Place. New for this LEW were Dine Around events hosted by Aloha Chapter members, and a post tour of Mauna Kea.
