Get your walking shoes on for a behind the scenes tour of what’s happening in “sleepy” downtown Honolulu. We start at the Davies Pacific Center where Christine Camp, Avalon Development CEO, will share her company’s plans plus overall background of what’s happening throughout downtown via a 360o view from a demolished upper floor.
This special event will include:
- A first look with Continental Assets Management’s Patricia Chang Moad in their 112 room AC Hotel (the former Remington College Building) before it opens at the end of 2023.
- Hard hat tour of HPU’s Shark Campus future highrise site and HPU Science Lab on Fort Street Mall being constructed by Avalon.
- Entering the first adaptive reuse of a Bill 7 affordable housing program conversion at 1060 Bishop Street as Luke Williams shows off WKF’s transformation of a 7-story office building into 52 affordable rental units.
We end the tour at Podmore restaurant in a historic building that also has been artfully renovated to meet current market trends and demands. Enjoy libations and refined grinds by the duo behind Senia, Chef Anthony Rush and Katherine Nomura. There, discussions amongst the group and the principals – Christine, Luke and Patricia – will continue until our exclusive use of the restaurant ends at 7 pm.
Mahalo to our sponsors – PBR Hawaii and SSFM!
